ABOUT BOOST MOBILE

As of Q3 2023, Boost Mobile, along with its sister brands Boost Infinite, Gen Mobile, and Ting Mobile, had 7.5 million customers. Boost Mobile was founded as a joint venture between Peter Adderton, Craig Cooper, Kirt McMaster, and Nextel Communications. In 2003, Nextel purchased it, and as a result of the merger between Sprint Corporation and Nextel, it then became owned by Sprint in 2004. On July 1, 2020, Dish Wireless purchased it as a result of the merger between Sprint and T-Mobile.

Boost Mobile phones later evolved to highlight a social GPS application that was available on selected Boost Mobile phones.

Initially, Boost Mobile used the Nextel iDEN infrastructure for its service. However, in 2006, it started offering a new Unlimited by Boost Mobile service in select markets using Sprint’s CDMA network, providing unlimited talk, text, and internet. Although the plans resulted in significant growth for Boost Mobile, it did not shift entirely to CDMA. In February 2023, Dish Network, the parent company of Boost Mobile, experienced a major ransomware attack. It resulted in internal outages, loss of service, and data theft at its subsidiary companies, including Boost Mobile. Customers were unable to contact customer service, cancel their subscriptions, or make payments. The outage affected customers across the U.S.

The service outages lasted for more than a month, and customers reported wait times for customer service stretching to more than 14 hours. Full service was not restored until May 2023.

Boost Mobile is a wireless service provider that has run several regional campaigns in different cities. In Chicago and Boston, for instance, the company provided live paper shredders at bus stops that shredded sample contracts from rival wireless service providers into confetti multiple times per hour. Initially, Boost Mobile marketed its brand to teenagers and young adults who were into action sports, urban music, and lifestyle. To compete with other wireless providers offering unlimited plans, Boost Mobile launched a Monthly Unlimited Plan in January 2009. The company also re-focused its brand towards a broader demographic, which resulted in a net gain of over 674,000 customers in about three months. However, despite this success, Nextel experienced a gross loss of 1.25 million contract subscriptions.

I switched to Boost Mobile yesterday from T-Mobile and the Erie, PA location is amazing! I got the Celero 5G+ 2024, a phone case, and a screen protector for $129.00!!! The service has been great since I am running off of AT&T and I have zero complaints!!! I pay $68 a month for 50GB of high-speed data and Boost Protect! Boost Mobile is amazing and their Boost One app is great because so far I saved $3.70 in 24 hours from playing games, watching videos, and downloading apps. Boost has been great!

Great Customer service. exellent sounds. Great price says this is the place to get a finger than help with your phone. They will take care of you in just a few minutes. Even if you’ve got things going on with your phone come and see Em.

American airlines customer service

The service is not as good or works with you at all. I was thinking about doing Metro Phone service. At least if I can’t pay my phone bill by the due date they give you a grace period and so many hours to pay to pay it. Not with Boost. If don’t pay on the due date it will be off the next day and then they don’t allow you to change the plan a special if you are a new customer. And no. I am not happy with my service or customer service when you call for help and all.

Boost sending the new phone to the wrong address. Refuses to correct it, even though I called less than 5 minutes after paying. They will not contact UPS either, so I can pick it up there. If I could give a 0 review, I would. They told me to call up to redirect, not possible, they would not do it. My last phone came to the right address, yet still no help from them. No answer was given as to why this happened either. Fraudulent company that I have been with for 14 years. Time to move on
