In December 2022, Uber Eats partnered with Cartken, a self-driving 6-wheeled sidewalk bot, to deliver food and groceries to residents in Miami. The delivery system, originally from Oakland, CA, will alert consumers when their food has arrived, and they will be able to retrieve their goods. Cartken and Uber Eats have not yet disclosed how many bots will be in service or where they plan to expand next.

I ordered from Uber Eats. Before placing an order, there were no extra charges until after the food was delivered. I tried to contact Uber for a receipt. They said you get it after the food is delivered. A 15% service fee and delivery charge! Do not use. They have no customer service either and they make it so difficult to contact them. All I can do is stop using it. People will stop using it when they figure it out.
I usually do both rides and also food service and I usually get the food I ask for with no complaints. Recently, my food has been late, missing and stolen. I called customer service and I got the same runaround. I don’t plan on using this service any longer.

Almost every time I’ve ordered in the last couple of months I had items missing, the wrong order, or I straight up did not even get my order. Sad how often that’s happened when it is their job to make sure you get the right order and everything you ordered.
All of my Uber Eats deliveries have been excellent until the last one. Tracked driver who was at the restaurant for more than an hour to 1.5 hours. Commented to her after 30 minutes saying I was sorry she had to wait so long. She never replied back and just canceled the order quite a bit later. We were starving. I wish she had communicated with me to let me know what was going on.
